Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information 4IR Insights (“we”, “us”) collects when you use 4irtechtrends.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in Victoria, Australia.
Information we collect
- Contact form. When you use our contact page, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, the type of enquiry, a subject and your message.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to understand how the Site is used — for example, which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, device and browser type, and approximate location.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the Site secure and running.
Cookies
- Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure how the Site is used.
- Login cookies. Site administrators who sign in receive cookies needed to keep them logged in.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading the Site.
Third-party services
- Google provides Google Analytics and the web fonts used on the Site. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Hostinger hosts the Site and processes the data stored on it on our behalf.
- Links and embedded content. Articles may link to, or embed content from, other websites. Those sites may collect data about you as if you had visited them directly.
How we use your information
We use personal information to reply to your messages, understand our readership so we can improve the Site, and keep the Site secure. We do not sell personal information. We do not currently send newsletters; if we launch one, we will ask for your consent and update this policy.
Affiliate links
We do not currently use affiliate links. If we introduce them, affiliate partners may use cookies to record that a visitor came from our Site. Any affiliate links will be clearly disclosed, and this policy will be updated.
How long we keep information
- Messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping.
- Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.
Where your information is processed
Our service providers, including Google and our hosting provider, may store and process information outside Australia.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by using our contact page. If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have rights under data protection law, including the right to object to or restrict processing, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. In Australia, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or services. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
